TRACKLIST.-

1. DIEULEUL-DIEULEUL / Aby Ngana Diop 4:31
Very little is known about this Senegalese artist.  A friend tells us that she is singing in the style of an instructional song for children.  We love the fierceness of these drums and the way this third-world artist has embraced sampling.
2. Sunshowers / M.I.A. 3:16
An awesome cover of an old Dr. Buzzard Original Savannah Band song
3. SUNLIGHT / tUnE-YaRdS 3:47
Merrill Garbus originally started playing ukulele to accompany her puppet show.  Now she makes enormous jams with just a looper pedal and a few instruments.
4. Psychic City (Voodoo City) / YACHT 5:07
I love the magical realism of the world where this song takes place.  Why doesn't our kitchen talk to us?
5. Golden Phone / Micachu 2:44
Produced by Herbert (!), Micachu is fractured pop at it's best
6. For Halloween / No Kids 3:33
Sensitive RnB and Sufjan work surprisingly well together
7. Technicolor / Nurses 3:39
These gentlemen know how to create amazing vocal sounds with relatively simple equipment.  We hope their work helps define the next generation of Pacific Northwest indie rock.
8. Unstoppable / Santogold 3:33
Such a badass...
9. Victory at Sea / Bobby Birdman 2:20
Bobby Birdman can make music out of virtually nothing.
10.Hock It. / The Blow 1:52
I wish this song were about me.
11.Lovesick Teenagers / Bear In Heaven 3:16
We love this band's sound.  This record has changed the way we write bass lines.
12. IOIO / Nosaj Thing 3:25
The drum programming on this song is immaculate, Nosaj Thing always pulls the rug right out from under you
13. Irresistable Bitch / Prince 4:13
Our favorite Prince B-side
14.Mixed Bizness / Beck 5:13
I hear new things in Beck's Midnight Vultures everytime. I love how silly it is because what it's mimicking, American Pop Culture, is just that: a ridiculous collection of come ons and consumption that make up the American Dream.
15.Everyone Is Guilty / Akron/Family 5:58
Wonderful energy! Akron/Family kind of like a jam band but not boring.
16.That Old, Natural Feel / Heatwarmer 6:24
This is the future of music.
17.The Girl in the Wind / Francois 1:27
The French write the most beautiful English lyrics.
